THE BRAUMART BRINGS ONE OF THE GREATEST CONCERT FILMS OF ALL TIME TO THE BIG SCREEN
Experience the legendary energy of Talking Heads in Stop Making Sense on Saturday, November 7
Get ready for a night of unforgettable music, electrifying performances, and pure rock-and-roll energy as The Braumart Theatre presents a special screening of Stop Making Sense, the critically acclaimed Talking Heads concert film, on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at 7:00 PM.
Widely celebrated as one of the greatest concert films ever made, Stop Making Sense captures Talking Heads at their creative peak, delivering a performance that is as visually captivating as it is musically unforgettable.
Directed by Academy Award-winning filmmaker Jonathan Demme, the film was recorded during three performances at Hollywood's Pantages Theatre in December 1983. What unfolds on screen is far more than an ordinary concert. It's an extraordinary combination of music, movement, theatrical creativity, and infectious energy that continues to captivate audiences more than four decades later.
Featuring unforgettable songs including “Burning Down the House,” “Psycho Killer,” “Once in a Lifetime,” and “This Must Be the Place,” Stop Making Sense brings the unmistakable sound and eccentric brilliance of Talking Heads to life.
From David Byrne's iconic oversized suit to the band's mesmerizing choreography and explosive musical performances, every moment builds toward an exhilarating celebration of live music.
Unlike a traditional concert documentary, Stop Making Sense skips the interviews and backstage commentary, placing audiences directly in the middle of the performance. The result is an immersive musical experience that feels remarkably alive, even decades after it was filmed.
Whether you're a lifelong Talking Heads fan, a lover of classic rock and new wave, or someone who simply appreciates incredible live entertainment, this is a film that deserves to be experienced on the big screen.
